Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano, among the globe’s most energetic, emerged for the 25th time because 23 December 2024.

The eruption lasted around 8 hours, with lava water fountains from the north air vent getting to over 1,000 feet (305 m), according to USA Geological Study (USGS).

The USGS cautioned that high degrees of volcanic gas are a key risk of worry as a result of its significant impacts downwind.
